Sean Andrade
a consulting sommelier and wine educator, has enjoyed the taste, aromas and versatility of wine since he was five. He’s worked for both Fenestra and Red Skye wineries. Andrade has given many wine seminars, including several on Livermore Valley wine and cheese pairings onboard the historic Niles Canyon Railway. Veteran journalist and free-lancer John Marvel is the former vice president and executive editor of ESPN.com. Previously Marvel was Managing Editor at Golf Web. Before joining the journalism pioneers on the Internet, he spent four years at the Contra Costa Times, where he was a sports columnist and reporter. He also on the sports staffs at the Peninsula Times Tribune, The Houston Post, Arizona Republic, Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News.
Carol Newman
Carol Newman is the former editor of Art Culinaire magazine and has interviewed the likes of Chefs Charlie Trotter, David Bouley and noted architect David Rockwell. Writing credits include Chocolatier and Pastry Art & Design magazines and The Golfer.
Marcia Parker
Marcia Parker is the Editor of Tri Valley Magazine and a veteran print and online journalist. In her day job, she is the Assistant Dean of UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. She has worked for AOL Time Warner, Yahoo and Intuit, as well as for a variety of publications on the East and West coasts as a reporter and editor. She and her husband also were co-founders with colleagues of the World Free Press Institute, which provides media training in emerging democracies. They live in San Ramon.
Taylor Pipes
Four years ago travel writer Taylor Pipes packed all of his belongings into his truck after graduating college in Wisconsin and moved to Northern California. Pipes does travel writing for Tri Valley Magazine and weekendsherpa.com and recently published a book on a historic Wisconsin county fair. His favorite past time is exploring the back roads and small towns of Northern California.
Callie Preston
is a Tri Valley teen who loves competitive cheerleading, tumbling and hanging out with her friends. She has lived in the Bay Area for four years since her family relocated from New Jersey. Preston enjoys skiing, surfing and all the cool things to do in the Tri Valley and San Francisco.
Matthew Rinkert
Contributor Matthew Rinkert, a Cal State Hayward alum, is a freelance writer by night on various activities afoot in the TriValley Magazine. During the day he works within the Tech Industry in an Outside Sales role.

Harvindar Singh
Harvindar Singh’s interest in local food and farms dates back to 2001 when he moved his family to Port Townsend, a Victorian era seaport town in Washington state, where he managed one of the country’s most successful farmer’s markets.
